Over the next few weeks, I found myself returning to the same spot, hoping to catch another glimpse of her. It wasn't long before she began to recognize my presence. At first, she would run away, her swift feet disappearing into the horizon. But as days turned into weeks, her curiosity got the better of her. She started to stay, watching me from a distance, her eyes narrowing as she tried to understand this two-legged creature that seemed so fascinated by her.

One afternoon, as I sat under the shade of a baobab tree, I noticed her approaching. She came closer than she ever had before, her tail twitching, her ears perked up. I held my breath, not wanting to scare her away. To my surprise, she lay down next to me, her body language a mix of caution and curiosity. In that moment, a bond was formed.
